Walking in Victory

Many steps plus many more steps.

My trekking poles have been used almost every day for two months.  I’ve worn through them and have been searching for replacement tips, but haven’t found any yet.  When I checked them this morning I found that not only have I worn through them, they are just plain worn out – broken – useless.

Sometimes satan wants me to feel the same way – worn out, worn through, broken and useless.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.  Ephesians 6:12

Sitting at the feet of Jesus during these times restores my soul and my body.  It is in these times when I am walking in His strength – protected by His armor.  What seems to be a fleshly battle for me right now, is really a spiritual battleWill God’s will for my life be obeyed even when it is painful to my flesh, or will I surrender in defeat? Will I walk in His joy and strength or will I struggle painfully in my own?

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.  Ephesians 6:13

Belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, helmet, sword, praying at all times in the spirit.

Truth, righteousness, readiness from the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God.

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.  Psalm 121:1-2

Renewed and restored with a spirit of power; His spirit.  Uplifted with the mighty right hand of God.  Covered in the blood of Jesus.  The battle is already won!  So today, WALK IN VICTORY.  Let God lift your eyes up to Him from whom your strength comes.  Speak out loud the blessings that your Heavenly Father is pouring out on you.  Don’t just read God’s Word today, DO the Word (Philippians 4:13). Let His love for you overflow onto everyone around you.

Be a blessing.  Be encouraged.  Press on.
