Fully Present

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.  Proverbs 31:25

Ahhh, the pleasure of being fully present and living in the moment.  There is something to be said for reflecting on one’s past and there is something to be said for planning for the future, but being fully present NOW is delightful.  Anxiety seems to rule over so many women.  Triggers from past experiences and worries about their future keep them from really living the life that God has for them.  When we learn healthy lessons from our past and can laugh at the time to come because we trust in Him who is sovereign, we are free to live today in God’s strength and dignity.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.  Matthew 6:33-34

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. James 4:13-14

I hope you’ll live today seeking first God’s kingdom.  Be encouraged.  Press on.
